Participant feedback analysis for project “Empowering life”
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
During the project, three transnational meetings were held in Iceland, Belgium, and Lithuania. Each meeting was attended by 6 participants from each partner country: 4 employees and 2 people with disabilities from Lithuania, and 5 employees and 1 person with disabilities from Belgium and Iceland.
COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS
A survey of project participants' organizations revealed significant communication difficulties among people with disabilities: 24 in Iceland, 15 in Lithuania, and 8 in Belgium. These challenges include verbal comprehension issues and difficulties in expressing thoughts.
SELECTION PROCESS
Before each mobility stage, participants completed selection questionnaires. Employees' questionnaires assessed motivation and readiness to learn new methods, while those for people with disabilities evaluated communication skills and needs to ensure effective participation.
EMPLOYEE OPINION
All respondents agreed that it is necessary to develop additional communication methods for persons with communication difficulties. Participants from all countries praised the organization and usefulness of the methodologies, emphasizing that sharing personal experiences increases the impact and continuity of the project.
PERSONS EXPERIENCE
All participants indicated that they enjoyed the project activities and they rated their participation in the project on a five-point scale, which indicates a very high level of satisfaction. This result confirms that the project was not only interesting, but also very useful.
SUMMING UP THE RESULTS
The project was successfully implemented through close partner cooperation and effective tools to evaluate results. Its goal was to enhance communication with people with disabilities and improve employee skills using diverse communication methodologies.
